Tooth
Austin sprouted his very first tooth yesterday. He has been teething seemingly for months. But this week the drool has increased a bunch, and the gnawing on everything was even more apparent then usual. And at last the little tooth bud popped through and he is now the owner of a little tiny tooth. He also has a little white bump right beside it, so I have a feeling the second tooth isn't far behind the first

Muffin Tin Monday
This was actually Saturday nights dinner. Robbie will be starting school soon, so we will be having our muffin tin Mondays on the weekend. I'll still be posting on Mondays, though.
Contents: Fruit cup, ravioli and meatballs, salad and fruit snacks.
I had been filling all 12 cups previously and it was too much food, but 6 cups doesn't seem to be enough. I have a big eater, I guess. So next week I will try filling 8 cups and see how that works.

Kindergarten
We got a letter from the school system today telling us what school Robbie will be going to, and giving us the schedule. He will be going Monday., Wednesday and Thursdays all day and I am so nervous for him. He will be riding the bus everyday, which he seems to be excited about, but as far as actual school goes, he's very nervous. Everyday he goes back and forth about how he is feeling. One day he is nervous, the next day he is excited, and the next he says he doesn't want to go at all. It should be interesting to see how he behaves on his first day, September 3rd.
As for me, well I am nervous wreck. There are a million thoughts in my head. What if he hates it? What if he doesn't adjust well? What if he isn't as smart as the other kids? What if he misbehaves? What if he hates the teacher? What if the teacher hates him?! Lol, I'm so very emotional about it. He has to go through this brand new experience, and I can't even hold his hand through it. My first baby is growing up.
The bus will pick him up across the street at 7:45 in the morning, which I am grateful for. Eric will be home at that time in the morning (he doesn't leave for work until 8:15) so he can be with us every morning when Robbie gets on the school bus. That will be a big help. He will be dropped off at 4:29 pm. That is a long day. I don't know how I am going to survive that first day. At least I have austin here to keep me occupied!

Mufin Tin Monday
It's that time again! Muffin Tin Monday! This week's challenge was breakfast! We made way too much food, and I think from now on I am going to have to stop filling all the cups, because it's just too much for a 5 year old all by himself! I had fun finding different things to put in each of the cups though!
Contents (from left to right): spoon/fork, english muffin, applesauce, strawberry yogurt, chocolate chip/raisin bread, eggs, pears, cereal, blueberry waffle, butter, syrup and sausage.

mobility
Austin has been crawling really well for the last two weeks. It seemed like just after he got the hang of crawling he started pulling up on everything, and trying to cruise. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. It seems like he is in a huge hurry to hit all these milestones and make mama crazy! Is it so wrong for me to want him to stay little for just a bit longer? He's my last baby. Robbie is 5 and heading on the fast track toward adulthood already (he'll be starting kindergarten next month). These precious babies of mine need to slow down!

Muffin Tin Monday
Muffin Tin Monday is a brilliant concept by Sycamore Stirrings. When I first read about it on her blog I knew I had to give it a try. Robbie loved it, and we can't wait to participate again next week!
contents: pickles, tortilla chips, peanut butter crackers, pineapple, salami, celery, banana chips, pineapple, cottage cheese, cheese, trail mix and peanut butter crackers.

Welcome!
Welcome to momma mania! Here you will have the pleasure of hearing all about the lives of a stay at home mom, me, and my two sons, Robert and Austin. Robert (Robbie for short) is 5 and will be starting kindergarten next month! And Austin is just about 7 months old, and is crawling and cruising and getting into everything!
